There’s a moment of truth for many of us sometime in our adult years where we come to the inevitable realization…
”Everything I’ve tried to better my life has not made a real difference…I’m lost.”
This realization, while painful to accept, is the first step toward a life of actual freedom.
The second step is committing to the actions that will help you find your way.
But how many commitments have you made to yourself or others through the years?
As the new year approaches maybe you’ve found yourself committing to losing weight, exercising more, finding a new job, starting a meditation practice, listening better, spending more time with the kids, remodeling the kitchen… The list could go on.
Pause and consider – why do you make these commitments?
What’s the primary motivation for committing?
Typically, we commit to achieve a desired outcome:
✔️ less stress
✔️ more income
✔️ better health
✔️ happier marriage
If the commitment is not fulfilled, we then feel guilt or carry a lingering sense of unfinished business.
If the commitment IS fulfilled, it can bring a feeling of relief or accomplishment – but it’s temporary so then we go on to the next commitment.
I’d like you to consider this for one moment:
-
Only one commitment is necessary to achieve your deepest longings and desires.
-
And – no success or failure needs to be attached to it.
Instead, this one commitment would be a catalyst for an unfolding and evolving process that would bring you into continual greater levels of freedom and last the remainder of your life.
The one commitment? To wake up.
Waking up involves only one focus…living in the present moment.
Being in a state of conscious awareness of what is actually happening in the now – internally and externally.
In this place of presence – nothing is missing.
There is no need to strive to make something happen. Only a direct experience of reality in its flow state.
This commitment will simplify how you live and anchor your life in the present moment rather than remaining stuck in the endless web of beliefs, narratives, attachments or time traveling into the past or future.
This is the difference between the journey of the soul and the machinations of the ego.
The ego, in its own nature, is not bad, wrong or evil…it’s just a grossly limited way of living your life.
If you don’t make this commitment, you’re still going to evolve in consciousness since evolving is a natural part of each soul’s journey.
However, many of us have the choice whether to continue a slow, unconscious grind through life on auto-pilot mode or intentionally unlearn our way back to what is generative and life-giving.
- Evolving is your natural state…your birthright…and there’s no better time than now to make this commitment and follow through with it daily.
- You could consider this your hero’s/heroine’s journey…but, really, how heroic is it to simply choose to live life in its most natural state?
This commitment to wake up is the opportunity for a great adventure into experiencing life in all its multidimensional realms that we don’t even have words for yet.
And YOU get to participate in the monumental worldwide shift in consciousness that is already underway.
One commitment can make all the difference!
Don’t take my word for it…try it out for yourself.
